Bria Woods is a multimedia storyteller, currently based in San Antonio, TX, specializing in photojournalism and radio broadcasting. Bria holds a BA in Communication from Trinity University and a Masters in Multimedia Broadcast Journalism from the University of Westminster in London. Bria’s work has been displayed in Texas galleries and the Museum of the Coastal Bend. She has also been published on BBC.com and Edible SA magazine. And she recently gave her first TEDx talk. When she's not behind the lens, Bria is on the mic hosting the "Women in Jazz" show on KRTU 91.7 FM on Thursday evenings.
Bria is passionate about genuine connection and capturing moments that transcend the typical photographer-subject relationship. Her work is built on trust and respect, with a commitment to ethical journalism and storytelling. Bria strives to ensure her work is accurate, relevant, and resourceful, creating a platform for individuals to share their truths with a wider audience.
Born and raised in D.C., Bria now calls Texas home, though her heart remains in London. When she’s not on assignment, Bria collaborates on special community projects and continues to exhibit her work. Her peers commend her strong interpersonal communication skills, adaptability, and commitment to telling stories that matter.
Bria’s freelance work is available for editorial, documentary, and personal projects. She carries with her a high standard of integrity, a strong work ethic, and a dedication to making authentic connections through storytelling.
